My New Columbia SC CPAP Equipment Supplier

May 14th, 2012

I discovered a new place in the area to get my Columbia SC CPAP equipment and supplies. The company AeroFlow Inc. has a wonderful selection of all the supplies and accessories I could possibly want. If later on I want to switch to a different style of machine, their sleep apnea specialists can help me with that too. This local Columbia SC CPAP equipment supplier carries a full line of mobility equipment as well as everything related to OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) that you could possibly need.

Columbia SC CPAP equipmentIf you have trouble sleeping and think you might have sleep apnea (which is completely treatable) give this Columbia SC CPAP equipment supplier a call and they’ll arrange to have you set up for testing in your home or a sleep clinic. Once you’ve been diagnosed their health care professionals will make recommendations according to your physician’s prescription for the proper CPAP equipment. They’re not all made the same just like all sleep apnea’s aren’t the same so it’s important to have a doctor’s prescription so you buy the correct machine based on your type of sleep apnea. This isn’t an item you go into a drug store and purchase off the shelf.

On a good note, many people’s health insurance companies cover CPAP equipment as durable medical equipment and will pay all or most of the expense of the equipment and supplies.

Specials on Favorite Beach Rentals

May 11th, 2012

I’m always trying to save money because the more I save in one area the more I’ll have to spend in another. This makes my husband scratch his head but I’ve come to discover that most women understand this perfectly! So imagine my delight when I found the specials that Condo-World is having this summer on many of their North Myrtle Beach condos. Since we go there frequently anyways it’s not like we’d be going out of our way or anything.

North Myrtle Beach condosI go online to see what North Myrtle Beach condos are included in the special rate deal since not all of them are. That way I can read all about the amenities I’d be getting with each one (they’re all different) and even what the condo rentals look like inside. They have many pictures on their website of each of their North Myrtle Beach condos.

Not to show preference but I find their website a joy to browse. It’s clearly laid out and labeled so it’s easy to find whatever I’m looking for. I really like that I can make reservations right from my dining room table with no telephone involved. I like, too, that I can sort my search results by area that I want to stay in. We’re pretty fussy when it comes to vacation rentals and we just have to be oceanfront or we’ll stay home. Some say we’re missing out since we’re golf lovers. They tell us we should try staying in a rental with fairway views. I just don’t think I could be staying so close to the ocean yet not be able to have it be the first thing I see every morning when I wake up. I love that about going there.

The Best Myrtle Beach Golf

May 9th, 2012

When you’re looking for the best Myrtle Beach golf courses, packages, and tee times, be sure to check out mbgolf.com. That’s who we always deal with when we’re headed to South Carolina because we love to golf and we can’t go there without playing some Myrtle Beach golf. They have over 110 championship courses in the area and I’m hoping to play them all by some point in my life.

This time of year the courses are beginning to heat up. The northerners, awake from their winter hibernating, are flying down to get their game on and start the season off right with some Myrtle Beach golf. I can’t as I wouldn’t do the same. There’s something so nice about playing on a golf course that is such close proximity to the ocean that you can smell the saltwater. Myrtle Beach is one of the most amazing places in the country to golf. We’ve played many courses and still keep coming back to this as our favorite location.

Don’t miss the following event taking place this month in the area:

Mayfest On Main will take place on Saturday, May 12, 2012 on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach. Come enjoy a free concert by Night Ranger, featuring Project 7VEN, the world’s greatest funk band and backup band for The Bar-Kays and Dazz Band. Special guest stars The Mighty Mighty Tams. This is a family event with food and craft vendors from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Children’s area with community stage starts at 10 a.m. Bring a beach chair for the concert. The concert begins at noon on the Main Stage in “The Horseshoe”. Free parking. No glass containers. For more info call 843-280-5570.

My Hilton Head SC Vacation

March 26th, 2012

Hilton Head SC vacationsI often take Hilton Head SC vacations each year; sometimes early, sometimes later in the season. Even though I often look around for a good deal on our accommodations I usually stick with Hilton Head Rent Direct for our Hilton Head SC vacations more times than not. Once we decide on where we want to stay we never have trouble booking a rental for the time period that we want to be there.

The homes are on this island are really spectacular. Being a full time resident there is probably like living in paradise. I know taking my Hilton Head SC vacations there is. There are always plenty of cultural opportunities taking place including Broadway-quality plays at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, a 120-member full chorus of the Hilton Head Choral Society, a highly-rated Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra, the largest annual outdoor, tented wine tasting event on the east coast, and several other annual community festivals.

There was an abundance of activities offered to us including 40+ championship golf courses, over 50 miles of biking trails, tennis courts, kayaking, jetskiing, charter fishing, parasailing, dolphin-watching, dinner cruises, historical tours, arts & entertainment, marinas and harbors, beach activities – the list goes on and on.

My Wonderful Retirement

March 21st, 2012

When it’s time for me to retire I’m definitely going to consider the SC retirement community of Callawassie Island. I would be living life at its finest in a most beautiful setting which I really deserve. I want to be surrounded by the best of everything the Lowcountry has. There is plenty of golf among ancient oaks and tidal marshes that I could spend my days doing. Or I could go kayaking or canoeing in the island marshes and play tennis. Life would be good to me there.

Living in a SC retirement community would provide me the opportunity to live among people who are retired just like me. When you live on Callawassie Island there’s plenty of outlets to stay active — from golf and tennis to water sports. I will have plenty of opportunities to get together with other people at the clubhouse and take advantage of opportunities to volunteer in the community.

I look forward to celebrating an active lifestyle in a casual community of friendly residents when I move to a SC retirement community. I will have at my disposal sailing, boating, beaches, fishing, shopping, fine dining, healthcare, and historic treasures all right there. In a quiet, serene, and secure paradise such as that, I’ll have truly a beautiful life. The abundant variety of resources, people, and activities will offer me unlimited opportunities to explore even more of my unique talents.

A Great Place to Live

March 2nd, 2012

We recently went real estate hunting to Hilton Head Island and checked out the available Palmetto Dunes real estate. The resort has this really cool 11-mile saltwater lagoon system that winds through the 2,000 acres. I can just picture myself kayaking on the waters there. I found the neighborhoods to be upscale and the homes are quite lovely. The surrounding area offers 25 miles of paths that would be perfect for biking, jogging or just walking — all of which I love. Combine that with all the water sports the ocean offer sand I’d have everything I need there.

I was told the resort was ranked as the number one family resort in the U.S. and Canada by Travel + Leisure magazine. Homeowners of Palmetto Dunes real estate have 3 championship golf courses to enjoy — The Robert Trent Jones Oceanfront Course, the Arthur Hills Course, and the George Fazio Course. But even if you want to play tennis there is an internationally-acclaimed Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center featuring 23 clay courts and two Nova ProBounce courts, eight of which are lighted for night play. Playing tennis at night is really cool. They told me the center ranked 2nd in the world for best instructional programs and events.

Regardless of whether you’ve just started looking for a place to buy or are ready to make that purchase, Palmetto Dunes real estate offers a premier selection of property for sale.

South Carolina vacation homes

June 10th, 2011

South Carolina vacation homesYou’ll need to choose among the many South Carolina vacation homes before you arrive there for your vacation in paradise. This is the perfect place to go for time away and I give their homes an A+++. I go back every year because even when I have gone somewhere else, I end up regretting I didn’t go to South Carolina. There’s just something about the place that makes me fall in love with it all over again time after time!

Besides being the Golf Capital of the World, which you probably already know, the area is also known for shagging, water and beach-related activities, miniature golf, fishing tournaments, dining and shopping. From these South Carolina vacation homes you can kick back in your beach chair and do nothing if you want because you’re entitled. But when you’ve had enough of the sun and laying around you can check out the area’s hundreds of restaurants, outside malls, and mega entertainment possibilities. I know you won’t be disappointed at all by the place because I never am.

If you’ll be there over the 4th of July you’ll want to explore these events I’m sure. Myrtle Beach is having a Fourth of July Concert at the Memorial Stadium there. There will be music, food and fireworks among other stuff. The Surfside Beach 4th of July Celebration is from 6-10 p.m. on July 4th at the pier at 13 North Ocean Blvd. And Barefoot Landing has events going on all day and into the night with fireworks over the lake at 10:15 p.m.

Hilton Head foreclosures

June 8th, 2011

Hilton Head foreclosuresHere’s an opportunity to purchase prime real estate on Hilton Head Island! With interest rates at an all time low, and house prices falling fast, now is the time to buy that retreat or investment property. Location, location, location is key to finding good properties and Hilton Head foreclosures are an ideal location!

Located just off the southernmost tip of South Carolina and warmed by year round breezes off the Gulf Stream, Hilton Head is well known for it’s “eco-friendly” development and over 12-miles of spectacular sugar-white sandy beachfront. The town’s Land Management Ordinance minimizes the impact of development and governs the style of buildings and how they are situated amongst existing trees. The area has grown 32% over the past decade largely due to this.

Take a look at these Hilton Head foreclosures while you’re here. They won’t last forever.

Also not to be missed is HarbourFest 2011, now in its 19th season, every Tuesday night all summer at Shelter Cove Harbour. From June through August, Shelter Cove features live entertainment seven nights a week, plus unforgettable food, arts and crafts from an array of vendors, bouncy houses, fireworks and a flurry of fun activity. It runs from 6-9:30 p.m.
